HELENA will develop, for the first time in Europe, a computer-tailored lifestyle education intervention, adapted to male and female European adolescents, based on the “fuzzy logic” approach.
- Population study assessing food and nutrient intake, nutrition knowledge, physical activity and fitness, body composition, vitamin and mineral status and genetic variability in European adolescents.
- Group techniques in order to know the determinants of food choices and preferences of European adolescents.Development of potentially commercial new healthy foods focusing in adolescent consumers.
- Assessment of the physiological and psychological effects of a potentially healthy snack.
- Development of computer-based life style education tools.
